Property Description

A stunning 5th floor apartment located in the pretty town of Armacao de Pera in the central Algarve.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with 2 singles, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen/diner and a lounge. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with plenty of hanging space and drawer storage, mirrors and included are a hairdryer and straighteners, along with plenty of UK/Europe adaptor plugs if you bring your own electrical items.

The apartment is served by 1 or 2 lifts, depending on the time of year and sleeps a maximum of 6 (there is a double sized sofa bed in the lounge).

The dining area includes a large table with 6 chairs. It is fully fitted including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric fan oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, toaster, juicer and all that is needed utensils, cutlery and crockery wise for 6 people. There is also an iron and ironing board, as well as a barbeque that can be used on the balcony.

In the lounge is a large sofa (that easily makes up in to a double bed, as well as a recliner chair, a large TV, satellite TV box (Portuguese but with plenty of English language channels), DVD player and a selection of DVDs and books. The apartment also has a free wi-fi service.

All bed linen, including pillows and duvets and towels, are provided, and these are changed on a weekly basis for bookings lasting more than 7 days. The towels are for use in the apartment ONLY. Beach towels ARE NOT provided.

All rooms except the kitchen/diner have air conditioning which also provides reverse air heating if it gets chilly. The 2 bedrooms have ceiling fans fitted. There are also 3 oil filled radiators for the chillier times of the year. Sliding french doors give access to the 2 balconies. One of the balconies overlooks the pool area of the condominium whilst the other has views out of town. The balcony by the pools has 2 tables and four chairs. The balcony looking out of town has 2 oyster style chairs, 2 footrests and a small table.
There are 4 sunbed cushions for use with the sunbeds by the condominium pools – one of the pools is full size and the other is specifically for small children – as well as 2 portable sunbeds. We have also provided beach umbrellas, a windbreak and a cold box for use on the beach. Ice blocks for the cold box are in the freezer.

The apartment is non-smoking, but you can smoke on the balconies where ashtrays are provided.

The condominium is secure with electronic door access to the 4 apartment blocks as well as an electronic gate to the pool area.

In line with Portuguese Law, the apartment has been inspected and is licenced by the local council for letting (Licence No. 43200/AL). For your added safety and comfort it also has smoke alarm, CO2 alarm, fire extinguishers, fire blanket and a first aid kit. The gas boiler that provides hot water on demand is also serviced annually.

The apartment is just a 5 minute walk from the town centre and the beach. The beach is golden sand and stretches for over 5km all the way to Gale. The town has over 20 restaurants, including Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, English and other cuisines – so something for everyone. There are also a multitude of cafes and bars, again catering to all tastes. The town also has a fish market and 3 supermarkets. There’s even a fresh produce market most Saturdays. So with everything on hand you do not need to hire a car if you don’t wish to.

Armacao de Pera is centrally located in the Algarve, just a 40 minute journey from Faro airport. As such it is an ideal place from which to explore the Algarve from the Spanish boarder all the way down to the western coast at Sagres. There are castles open to the public at Sagres and Silves for those wishing to explore. You are also only 30 minutes or so from the town of Monchique, the gateway town of the mountain area that forms the backdrop to the Algarve.

There are 3 waterparks, the internationally renowned sand carving park at Pera and also Zoo Marine all within a 20 minute drive. The waterparks and Zoo Marine all have bus services for those that don’t have their own transport. Albufeira, the main tourist centre of the Algarve, is just 10km away – it’s around €15 euros by taxi or €3 euros by bus. There are also 3 major shopping complexes in easy reach – Algarve Shopping is 10 minutes away at Guia, Aqua is 20 minutes away at Portimao and the new Designer Outlet Algarve near Faro is around 30 minutes away. The Algarve is also renowned for its golf and there are around 30 courses within a 30 minute drive from the apartment.
During high season, watersports are available from the beach such as pedal boats, banana boats, jet skis, paragliding and much more. There are also boat trips to the famous sea caves at Benagil available from the beach. You can also organise these cave trips or dolphin watching and other sea based tours from Albufeira Marina.

Arrival and departure days are flexible and short (4 days or more) or long term lets will be considered. The arrival time is generally from 12 noon onwards and the departure time is generally by 11.00am. However, these can be flexible by agreement.
